We once again will be hosting one of our favorite wineries Corcelettes. It is located on the old Herder property and they have been cranking out great wines and their Sparkling Sante. Join Emma from the winery Friday as we taste new vintages of there popular rose Oracle and Pinot Noir. We are also opening their flagship wine Menhir and Cab Merlot as well. See you Friday!
Oracle Rose 2017
The obvious gravel veins and scars of dried ox bows are the workings of the previous Similkameen River bed. Here lies the ethereal setting of LadyHawke Vineyard. Joann Laserich grows this Zweigelt with such focus and commitment that together with the team at Corcelettes, this Provence inspired Rosé is articulated well before harvest. Expressing bright pomegranate, white peach, citrus and lots of flinty minerality, this is an exciting patio choice. Challenge your appetizer pairings all year round as well with this delicious Rosé. Drink chilled, enjoy now.
Pinot Noir 2017
Juicy and fruit forward, this Pinot Noir is crafted from three select vineyards in the Similkameen Valley. With a gentle fermentation process and careful French oak aging, winemaker Charlie Baessler is able to express a fresh and balanced Pinot style that provides versatility in both the lounge or in your dining room. Drink now or cellar 3-5 years.
Cabernet Merlot 2015
Cabernet Franc loves Similkameen terroir, and blending ours with Merlot makes this wine approachable in it’s youth yet gives it structure to cellar for many years to come. Robust tannins and dried fruit notes make this wine a dinner winner.
Menhir is the Flagship wine of Corcelettes. Aged in unique French oak puncheon barrels for 16 months, this wine is simply magnificent. The nose offers sweet tobacco, black cherry and dried herbs while the palate is chewy and layered, with ripe plum and coffee. Polished off with chalky slate minerality, rich texture and a long smooth finish.
60% Cabernet Sauvignon - 40% Syrah
