Howling Bluff Winery is one of my favorite wineries to visit on the Naramata Bench. I discovered this little gem 6 years ago and instantly fell in love with Luke's Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc Semillon blend. They are crisp, citrus meets tropical fruit with bright acidity. They quickly became my every day drinkers. Then I tasted his pinot noir. Well I will just leave you with he has mastered his craft with pinot noir and is now sharing a rose made with his Lt. Governor award winning grapes. Hope you enjoy as much as I do!

Sauvignon Blanc / Semillon 2016
Signature tangy citrus and tropical fruit notes from the Sauvignon Blanc (85%) are well-matched with a lovely Granny Smith nose from the Semillon (15%). Serve well chilled with pan-Asian dishes or soft white cheeses.

Pinot Noir 2014
Classic and elegant, exuding the sophistication pinot noir is renowned for. On the nose loads of chocolate, red cherry, raspberry, coffee and undertones of potpourri, cedar, hint of tobacco and floral notes. The palate is smooth and round, with cherry in the forefront, developing to earthy, chocolate notes.
Black cherry figures prominently both on the nose and palate, with hints of leather, white pepper and earthy notes. The palate evolves to aromas of chocolate covered raisins, dried stone fruit, and a moderate pepper heat on the finish. A balanced wine with moderate tannins, that’s ideal paired with prime rib, steak, aged cheddar and blue cheese. (Merlot & Malbec) Drink now or ideal for the cellar for 10-15 years.
