Swirl Wine Club wines
Deep Roots Sauvignon Blanc 2017 (Naramata)
Fermented over 66 days in stainless steel tanks, this Sav Blanc is ripe on the nose with peach, lemon and banana notes. The palate is dry, however, with grapefruit, lemon zest and passion fruit flavours and a long, long finish. Great as a patio sipper or with a summer salad.
Kitsch Chardonnay 2016 (Kelowna)
This beauty of a chard was aged in 100% French oak for 10 months which presents greater on the nose than the taste buds. In its presently youthful state, you're likely to catch a whiff of candied pineapple and taste preserved lemon butter.
Eau Vivre Buddhafull 2012
Another brilliant, big red from the Similkameen! Made from 35% Merlot, 26% Cab Franc, 26% Cab Sav, 9% Petit Verdot and 4% Malbec, this Buddafull has notes of cherry, raspberry and warm spice on the nose. The palate is dry with flavours of currants and blackberries fading to a smooth violet finish with fine, chalky tannins. It just screams for a fillet mignon off the grill.
Summerhill Syrah 2012 (East Kelowna)
95% Syrah and 5% Merlot, this in a fresh fruit forward wine that’s balanced by beautifully integrated oak notes. That’s done to the 2 years of aging in oak – although it’s a 2012, it wasn’t bottled until February of 2017. This wine has wonderful notes of cherries and raspberries, balanced beautifully with integrated oak, hearty spice and a black pepper finish. This is a great grilling wine; try it with buffalo burgers with blue cheese.
