Clos du Soleil Fume Blanc 2017 (Cawston)
Silver All Canadian Wine Championships, 2018
This wine is a full-flavoured aromatic take on Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. On the nose this wine has ripe fruit aromas of grapefruit, apple, pear and ripe lemons with notes of gunflint and the beautiful floral notes of lilac in full bloom.
On the palate the wine is full bodied with rich mouthfeel, incorporating flavours of ripe apples and pears, complex layers of citrus including characteristic varietal flavours of grapefruit, as well as a subtle hint of oak.
Pair with roast poultry, soft cheese and this wine is a knock out with all kinds of seafood
Dirty Laundry Not so Naughty Chardonnay 2016 (Summerland)
This unoaked beauty is fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel to retain its crisp fruit aromas and flavours. On the nose you’ll find candied lemon, lime and melon. On the palate citrusy aromas change to pear and golden delicious flavours. Citrus flavours are more present at the finish. This wine a hint of residual sugars left, pair this wine with shellfish, cheeses and fresh chucked oysters. Absolutely delicious with citrusy hummus and tempura avocado as well.
Desert Hills Cactus Red 2016 (Oliver)
44% Cab Sauv, 20% Cab Franc, 20% Merlot, 15% Syrah
Easy drinking blend with a hint of residual sugar. Rich fruit forward palate with balck cherry and dark raspberry flavours. Lovelyh on its own and a perfect red wine for entertaining bigger partiers. Try with pizza and pasta dishes as well. Ready to drink, no need to cellar.
One Faith Petit Verdot Malbec 2016 (Oliver)
Intriguing blend of 2 big, juicy and bold red grape varieties this wine is sure to warm you up in the middle of West Coast rainy season. Highly aromatic nose with luscious palate filled with blueberry, violet and rich cherry vanilla coke flavours. Pair with aged cheese, rich cuts of red meat and dark, starchy vegetables like grilled eggplant. Wine can be aged for 4-8 years, but it’s very enjoyable already.
