Lunessence & Hugging Tree Wineries

Stuart in store 3:30-6:30pm

Hugging Tree Viognier 2015
A crisp and clean delight to the senses. It has a bouquet of citrus, green apple, honey, and hints of apricot. On the palate you will find notes of pear, apricot, and lemon-lime, with a balanced finish. It’s no wonder its one of our most popular wines. This is Walter’s personal favorite, and a warm afternoon favorite for the rest of us as well.

Lunessence Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Gorgeous tropical fruit and smoke on the nose of this rich and almost full-bodied BC Sauvignon Blanc. More akin to Californian Savys than to New Zealand. Pair with rich seafood dishes.

Lunessence Quartet White Blend 2016

Quartet by Lunessence Winery is an aromatic blend of four different whites: Riesling, Viognier, Gewürztraminer and Orange Muscat. The palate is off-dry, with orchard fruit flavours and balanced acidity. The mouth-watering finish adds to the complexity of this wine.

Hugging Tree Merlot 2014

It was winemaker Brad’s sister Jenny who influenced him to add a touch of Syrah to this Merlot, which lends it some exciting spicy notes. Look for black forest cake on the bouquet (mocha, vanilla, and chocolate cherries), accompanied by dark plum and violets. The palate has notes of dark fruit cassis and some firm tannins.

Lunessence Winemaker’s Cut Syrah 2015 & 2016

The fermentation was natural and took place in stainless steel tanks. The wine aged in a variety of Slovakian, French and American barrels for 14 months. This natural Syrah delivers ripe and strong characteristics of Okanagan. Black and white pepper, olives and leather with spicy flavours and a long finish.

Lunessence Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Lunessence Winery’s Cabernet Sauvignon was aged 6 months in Slovakian and French oak, giving it spicy notes of oak on its finish. This Black Sage Bench sourced wine has aromas and flavours of black currant.
