Gruner Veltliner 2015
Grüner Veltliner is a unique varietal, made globally famous by producers in Austria. These grapes are sourced from Bordertown Vineyard in Osoyoos, BC. Expect amazing lime-green iridescence in the glass, with flavours of lemon and lime zest and a creamy finish. It is a perfect match for grilled asparagus with Weiner Schnitzel and Rösti.
This Viognier boasts bright acidity with notes of grapefruit and lychee. A portion was fermented in new French Acacia barrels, with frequent lees stirring for a rich palate and a luxurious finish, with a touch of residual sweetness. The ultimate patio wine, it loves to be paired with prawns, scallops, crab-based dishes, in addition to spicy Asian style cuisine.
Cabernet Franc 2016
Sourced from the Herrera Family Vineyard near Keremos, this is a classic expression of Cab Franc. Expect hint of French oak with balance and elegance.
Sourced from both the Similkameen Vineyards near Cawston and the Okanagan Valley near Osoyoos, this Syrah is co-fermented with 6% Viognier and is aged 17 months in mostly new American Oak barrels and boasts elegance, finesse and classic varietal characteristics of pepper and spice. It is clean, rich and full of dark red fruit. This is a wine that loves grilled meats and hearty cheeses
This wine has Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc and Syrah from some of BC’s best vineyards to make this Bordeaux-style red blend. Each batch was fermented separately and lovingly tended with daily punch downs and 20+ days of skin contact to extract a rich array of soft and big tannins and fruit notes. The nose shows cedar, dried fruit, meaty, black currant and floral notes and the taste is big and round, well balanced and firm, ripe tannins. Age worthy wine that pairs well with rib eye steak or prime rib.
