Summer time Rose Wines - Tasting Saturday June 16, 2018

On Saturday we will be tasting some of our favorite rose wines for the summer of 2018. We would taste more but some are nearly sold out already as rose wine season is here. Most BC wineries only make a few hundred cases of this pink nectar so grab it while the sun is shining!

Summer Rose Wines

Between 2-6pm

Quail’s Gate Rose 2017

Pale pink in colour, the glass is brimming with Okanagan summer red berries, pink grapefruit and a touch of white pepper spice that entices to a fresh dry finish. The perfect pairing for being on a patio or poolside.

Dirty Laundry Hush 2017

An approachable woman of pleasure; an enticing blend of Pinot Noir, Merlot & Cabernet Franc lend flavors of fresh picked strawberries, red currant & watermelon. She’s the quintessential patio sipper.

Seven Directions T& V Rose 2017

Don’t let the wonderful pale grapefruit hue fool you., This aroma packed Pinot Noir rosé is bursting with aromas of strawberry whipped cream, cherry blossoms, rose petals, melon and peach. The ever so slightly off dry palate boasts a fresh juicy texture echoing the nose, adding hints of spice and salt that leads to a long mouth-watering creamy finish. Seamless from beginning to end. A beautiful
experience and a pleasure to drink!

Le Vieux Pin Vaila 2017

Made with the Burgundian method of Saigneé (literally to bleed) this rosé is produced from free run juice of Pinot Noir grapes and entirely steel tank aged. It is a fun, delicate wine absolutely perfect for the summer.  Vaïla presents as usual pale salmon colour and explosive aromas of rhubarb sorbet, pink grapefruit and the amazing bright and crunchy red fruit BC rosés are famous for.

Bartier Brothers Rose 2017

Delicate and pretty aromas of wild rose, cranberry, and pomegranate are followed by more of the same on the palate. The mouth feel is lily fresh, with bright fruit balanced by crisp acidity. This fresh, crisp character continues through a long finish.
