Robin Ridge Chardonnay 2016 (Keromeos)
All Canadian Wine Championship 2018 gold medal winner. Estate grown on Keremeos’ middle bench, this unoaked Chardonnay is made from 100% organic grapes. Fruit forward but not simple, look for stone fruit on the palate balanced by citrus notes and a baking spice undertone. Pick up your favorite butter chicken and you’re all set!
Blasted Church Sauvignon Blanc 2016 (Okanagan Falls)
Lemon, grapefruit and grassy herbal notes introduce the wine, followed by tropical aromas, pineapple and melon. Citrus leads the bright, electric attack with herbaceous notes carrying through the mid-palate, leading to a beautifully tropical finish. Honey and wax characters will develop, increasing this wine's complexity.
Stag’s Hollow Shuttleworth Creek Pinot Noir 2015 (Okanagan Falls)
National Wine Awards of Canada 2017 silver medal winner. Style in a New World cool climate style – think New Zealand’s Central Otago – this handpicked wine was aged in French Oak and in the bottle on lees. The result is a vibrant violent colour with black current, baking spice and sagebrush flavours with grainy tannins. It’s just reaching its peak window for drinking now through 2022.
Osoyoos Larose Petales D’Osoyoos 2014 (Osoyoos)
Petales is a wine that often flies under the radar – maybe because Osoyoos Larose is a smaller producer or that its big brother, Le Grand Vin, gets all the attention – either way it’s worth a look especially in summer months. Made from fruit chosen for its lower tannins, Petales show flavours or strawberries, raspberries with a touch of licorice followed by smooth tannins. The is a great full bodied, but not overbearing, red for the summer. Best with grilled, thick cut steaks.
