Hatfield’s Fuse 2016
Once again the Hatfield’s Fuse is a cornucopia of flavours made with twelve different grape varieties. Aromas of melon, mango, pineapple, and tangerine with a hint of citrus complement the apple and pear flavours. The mouth-filling fruit ripeness carries through to the long, slightly sweet finish. This versatile white blend is the perfect match for halibut or cod whether drizzled with herb butter or battered, fried and salted. Also try with butter chicken, mild curries, pad thai or drunken crab.
Sauvignon Blanc 2016
Lemon, grapefruit and grassy herbal notes introduce the wine, followed by tropical aromas, pineapple and melon. Citrus leads the bright, electric attack with herbaceous notes carrying through the mid-palate, leading to a beautifully tropical finish. Honey and wax characters will develop, increasing this wine's complexity.
Cabernet Franc 2016
Bouquet: Brambleberry and strawberry with wild sage, plum, and leather.
Palate: Raspberry, strawberry and wild sage joined by spicy cinnamon.
Food Pairing: Braised meats, roasted mushrooms and goat cheese.
Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
This Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a bouquet of cassis, blackberry and chocolate followed by cigar box, leather, wild sage and plum. Dark cherry and blackberry open up the attack with black pepper notes taking over into the spicy, well-rounded mid palate. The balanced acidity and fine tannins carry the wine on to the finish where the dark fruit and savoury notes linger.
Nothing Sacred ‘Meritage’ 2015
This blockbuster, towering BC red wine is a blend of 40% Merlot, 38% Petit Verdot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec grapes. Aromas of fleshy black fruit, tar, toasty oak, smoke and graphite. Holy smokes! Pair with this charred and grilled meats.
