In store 3:30-6:30pm
Stag’s Hollow Albarino 2017 (Okanagan Falls)
The nose shows vibrant notes of ripe tropical and stone fruit, along with mandarin orange and desert sage. It also hints at a biscuity character that is likely derived from the wine’s extended lees contact. The mango, guava and peach flavours from the nose carry through to the palate. It is bright, yet texturally-rich and creamy, with mouthwatering acidity and a long, clean, mineral-driven finish.
C.C. Jentsch Viognier 2015 (Oliver)
Offers an intense and luscious nose of nectarine, kiwi and acacia blossoms. The palate surprises with tangy lemon cream, bright acidity as well as juicy peach flavours. The crisp fruit quality of this wine pairs well with seafoods like raw oysters or seared halibut, and dishes featuring fruits & vegetables.
GOLD MEDAL - 2016 SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL WINE COMPETITION
Quail’s Gate Merlot 2016 (West Kelowna)
This Merlot is soft and easy drinking with a great long finish. Aged for 18 months in French oak, this wine is elegant and sophisticated. The wine boasts aromas of rich black cherry, smoky plum, spice and toasty oak. Bold in flavor, match to similar menus like bison burgers, lasagna or braised short ribs.
The Hatch Smoke Show 2015 (West Kelowna)
The key word here is ‘Smoke’. These grapes came from Desert Valley in the Golden Mile, where in 2015 wildfires were a major issue in The Okanagan creating very smokey conditions at exactly the wrong time; during verasion when grape babies are the most sensitive. We found the smoke adds an added layer of intensity to the wine and notes that remind me of a peaty Scotch. We want our wines to be authentic reflections of their plot of land, and thus this is the creation of its given climate at that time.
