Bartier Bros. Granite 2018
An orange wine? An orange wine is made from a white grape varietal, but made in the same way as a red wine. It may look like a Rose, but it is very different.
The 2018 Granite has flavours and aromas of tea, cedar, and cigar box with a beautiful balance between the fruit and acid. It has a very soft texture and find tannins on the finish. This wine is very well matched with curry dishes.
The 2018 Granite is made from 100% Gewurztraminer grown in Summerland, BC. It was de-stemmed and crushed in 1-ton open top fermenters where it went through a spontaneous ferment, and a 21-day maceration (no malo-lactic fermentation). It spent 6 months in concrete & stainless steel tanks, on yeast lees.
