Grapes from the southern Okanagan Valley were used for the 2013 Cabernet Merlot. The juice underwent malolactic fermentation for 2-3 weeks and was then aged in French and American oak barrels for 12 months. Before bottling, the wine went through fining and minimal filtration to enhance varietal characteristics.
Rich ruby colour with aromas of black cherry, black currant, vanilla, plum and bell pepper. A hint of smoke leads to a medium body with a rich flavour and a touch of vanilla spice oak.
