Road 13 Sparkling Chenin Blanc 2016
MISSION HILL / MARK ANTHONY
A chenin sparkler made from the oldest chenin blanc vines in North America is a good start. The wines mature quickly; the care is taken in getting the acidity levels to remain lively. The primary fermentation is done in tank before a secondary fermentation in the bottle. The wine was kept at the winery another three years before a final disgorging and labelling. Look for a friendly, fruity affair full of ripe red apple mixed with citrus, peaches, and toasted nutty notes to round out the finish. Ready to drink and a perfect wine for south Asian dishes.
