Sperling Pinot Noir
Appearance: Clear, pale purple core becoming slightly brick red towards rim.
Nose: Italian plum and plenty of soft berry fruit: raspberries, strawberries, blackberries; slightly perfumed.
Palate: Lightweight and buoyant with stewed raspberries and blueberries, caramelized orange rind, roasted Red Have peach, nutmeg, and very light tannins.
Quality: A high-quality, bright and elegant Pinot Noir that’s lively with juicy acidity and just enough tannic structure to make it suitable for bolder dishes like braised meats.
Food pairings: Wild mushroom risotto, fried chicken, barbecued salmon, cassoulet, pan-seared duck breast.
